Adult Costumes

Game night was always big at our house when I was growing up. Every Friday or Saturday night, one of us would pick out a board game and we’d play it together as a family with my mom and dad.  As we got older, everyone was off doing their own things on the weekends so the family game nights slowly came to an end.  However, to this day I love board games and I’m glad that they were a part of my life growing up. 

In today’s world of gaming, we have the Internet, Xbox, Wii, Play Station…and not to mention all the other hand held games and IPhones, but I don’t care what anyone says, you cannot beat the old school board games!  They actually make you socialize face-to-face with the other players (which is a good thing), they’re portable and never need batteries and they cost next to nothing compared to an Xbox game!

Candyland and Chutes and Ladders were some of the first games I remember playing with my brothers and sisters.  The older we got Monopoly, Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit came into play and they are still so fun to play to this day!

How much fun would it be to go as one of your favorite Hasbro board games as a Halloween costume this year?  Everyone will love it!  Did you always want to be the banker when you played Monopoly?  Wanted to buy Boardwalk and Park Place?  Well now you can be have it all when you wear the Hasbro Monopoly Costume.  You can be Miss Moneybags Banker and win the game!

Who hasn’t heard of Super Mario?  Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last 25 years, everyone knows Mario!  He’s Nintendo’s most recognizable mascot, has sold over 240 million video games and holds seven world records! 

This week according to Nintendo themselves, the game that put Mario on the map turns 25! Released on September 13, 1985, Super Mario Bros. quickly became the top-selling video game of all time, a title it would hold right up until last year when it was passed by Wii Sports.

This anniversary couldn’t have come at a better time of year!  With Halloween being only a month away, what better way to celebrate this silver anniversary than to wear a Super Mario Adult Costume!

This is a very popular question when deciding on what you want to be for Halloween.  The question of good or evil has been around for centuries, but the one time of year when it’s ok to pick evil over good (as far as costumes go) is of course, Halloween. 

Since the beginning of time, Halloween has centered around the evil and dark side of the holiday.  Horror and gothic costumes are a huge seller and will remain that way for a long time to come. 

Halloween is supposed to be spooky, so what better way to celebrate the holiday than by portraying evil himself…the devil!

Devil costumes are always popular at Halloween.  From trick-or-treaters to adult costume parties there will always be that sinister aspect of the one wearing horns and carrying a pitchfork.  

Halloween only comes around once a year, so have fun with its scarier side and choose evil over good!

If you’re one of those adults that just doesn’t want to grow up, then Halloween is the perfect holiday for you!  Since Halloween is a time for kids to be kids and adults to be kids, you might as well enjoy it.

Dressing up for Halloween isn’t just for kids anymore.  Every year more and more adults are buying costumes and heading out to Halloween parties, costume parties, bars and clubs and even trick-or-treating with their children.  By the way, younger kids love when their parents dress up for Halloween.  So if you’re planning on walking around the neighborhood with your kids or even if you’re staying at home base to give out candy, put on a costume – your children will love it!

Since the movie Toy Story 3 has come out, it’s once again brought attention to all the great toys we played with as kids.  I think I actually enjoyed the movie more than my daughter because I could relate to Mr and Mrs Potato Head, the bucket of soldiers and the slinky dog because they were toys I played with as a kid.

Those animated characters make for the perfect costumes for adults that want to take one day out of the year (Halloween) to not grow up!  How much fun would it be to go as a toy you and your friends played with as children?
