Adult Costumes

Anyone who has seen the movie Animal House, remembers Bluto,(played by John Belushi) and the infamous frat house Toga party!  That movie was released back in 1978 and still today the “Toga Party” is as popular as ever.  A little fyi – the line, “Toga! Toga!” was chosen #82 on the American Film Institutes list of America’s 100 Greastest Movie Quotes of All Time.

One reason Toga parties are so popular is that besides the fact that they are so much fun, the costumes you need to wear are really cheap and easy to make!  A simple white sheet is all you need.  To top off your toga look don’t forget your headpiece or your roman sandals.  What you wear under your toga is completely up to you!

So next time you’re thinking of throwing a big bash – think TOGA!

The definition of the word mascot is, “a term for any person, animal or object thought to bring luck and/or a person or animal that is adopted by a team or other group as a symbolic figure”. 

Society has come a long way in its current version of mascots.  Early accounts of masked creatures, often resembling animals were drawn or etched on cave walls and depicted in ancient art. Totem poles were filled with likenesses of animals in ancient cultures. These likenesses are much like the concept of the team mascots evident on football fields and basketball courts. Usually in ancient times the history of mascots’ shows that these likenesses were often worshiped.

Today, mascots are seen as artists and entertainers with traits that now make it an art form.  Great mascots do not learn their stage presence from a classroom; it’s all as they say, “on-the-job training”.  The person must be able to put their individuality aside and really get into character; become one with the character.  This is crucial to being a believable mascot that people adore!  Mascots are especially popular with children.

The more personable a mascot is, the more approachable they will be.  Plus they will be loved by fans of all ages.  The position of mascot commands a lot of power over crowds at games. They have the ability to get the fans on their feet and cheer them on to victory!

Halloween is the only holiday where it is perfectly fine for adults to act like children again; in fact it’s encouraged. It’s such a fun filled, no pressure holiday that both kids and adults get to dress up and have a blast!

The fairytales that we read to our children have wonderful characters that beg to come alive on Halloween. You see many children dressed as their favorite princess or pirate every year for the holiday. However, did you know that storybook character costumes are just as popular with adults as well?  Adults especially love a happy ending, so becoming Snow White, Cinderella or Prince Charming for the day is the perfect way to spend Halloween. 

There’s also the other end of the spectrum when it comes to fairytale characters.  Everyone loves the sweet innocent princesses, but what about the evil villains such as; the Wicked Witch, Captain Hook, the Big Bad Wolf or the evil Queen.  Those characters are just as much fun to play!

All women know that men in uniform are hot!  There’s something about a uniform that makes a man look sexy. 

Now, let’s take a moment to turn the tables and check out just how hot a woman can be in uniform.  Well, it’s not exactly the type of uniform you’ll see walking around the barracks, but I’m pretty sure the men will enjoy these uniforms a little bit more.

Sexy military costumes are a great way to add a little spice to your love life.  If you have a husband or boyfriend in the military what better way to welcome them home then by slipping into a similar uniform to his own.  However with yours, it will be a lot less uniform and a lot more skin!
